  Joined MAGIC LANTERN once again for a special Hallowe'en tour.
  THE SHROPSHIRE BEDLAMS
JK founds the first Morris Dance group within the folk revival to concentrate exclusively on the 'Border' repertoire from Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Along with their sister team, Martha Rhoden's Tuppenny Dish, the Bedlams ensure that the world of Morris Dancing will never be quite the same again.

  SPICE ISLAND FAREWELL
BBC TV play by Terence Wheeler. Directed by Herbert Wise.
Arranged Victorian ballads for concertina, trumpet and double bass. Appeared and MD'd the show, and sang off-screen.

1978-80 LARK RISE
by Keith Dewhurst, based on the books by Flora Thompson. National Theatre, London. Directed by Bill Bryden and Sebastian Graham-Jones.
As a member of The Albion Band sang, played and danced in various re-runs of this show.

  BORDERING ON THE INSANE
English Dance and Song
JK was invited by the Editor of the EFDSS Magazine, Dave Arthur, to write about the founding and philosophy of the team of Morris Dancers he started in 1975 - The Shropshire Bedlams. This article has been reprinted in various Morris Dance publications.

1979-80 CANDLEFORD
by Keith Dewhurst, based on the books by Flora Thompson. National Theatre, London. Directed by Bill Bryden and Sebastian Graham-Jones.
Sang and played with The Albion Band in this sequel to 'Lark Rise', and danced over a broomstick.
