Following the withdrawal of John Tams from the band Home Service last year, I have been offered the job of lead singer! We've been rehearsing and recording over the last few months, and have finished a CD, called A NEW GROUND. With any luck, this will be out by the end of July.
We have a few gigs in September, and are hoping to take the world by storm at festivals next year. Watch this space for more information as it comes in. homeserviceband.co.uk |

Jobie - bass guitar Benji - guitars, bouzouki, banjo, mandolin George - melodeons, selected percussion Fergus - drums After hectic rehearsals, the combo is now ready to unleash itself onto the dancing fraternity. Following Sally's sudden death last year, and Martin Britnell's problems with his health, I must officially announce that our ceilidh band - Mr Gubbins' Bicycle - will not play again.
BUT..... Plans are afoot for a new family based dance band, which will include some former members of Mr Gubbins, and, er, one or two other people. While negotiations are still being conducted at the highest level, it is impossible, for various legal reasons, to reveal any more than these bare details at this stage. Watch this space....... |
